The UK Guardian had an in depth study of America gun owners. They found that 7.1 Americans owned 40 or more guns and 100,000 bullets. People in rural areas own rifles and can reach out and touch someone 300 to 500 yards away. Plus all the rural folk have to do is to cut the electricity off to half a dozen big cities. The crazies in the big cities will be robbing and killing each other.

I'd say that the Guardian's estimate of armed-up Americans is off by ten fold, at least.
