up to 60,000 unjabbed staff facing sack on THURSDAY - as sector warns homes will CLOSE because there were already 100k vacancies before Covid struck

Care bosses have today issued a desperate appeal for No10 to delay or even ditch its 'timebomb' no jab, no job policy over fears 60,000 workers will be sacked within days.

From Thursday all care home workers must have received two doses of a Covid vaccine or face losing their jobs.

Unions have warned a tenth of the sector's entire workforce will be forced out of employment, which could see already under-staffed homes have to close. There were already more than 100,000 vacancies across the social care sector in England before ministers confirmed the controversial policy.

This insanity will likely affect home health and practical nurses since they render most of the home care across the world.

I say again, it is pure insanity. ;)

What??? Hold it. Unions are weighing in on this?

It's nice to know they care after 21 months of this job-stealing nightmare.

Unions

When I was driving the big truck I brought a load of Colorado potatoes across Wolf Creek Pass. It was snowing coming across the pass. And going downhill you better be darn sure you were in lower gear since there were no escape ramps if you lost your brakes.

I fueled at Flying J Fuel Stop at La Junta, Colorado. While there the snow changed to freezing rain and it was like that all the way into Dodge City and the truck stop there.

But going thru Garden City they had little sprayers that popped up on bridge deck to spray liquid chloride.

In Illinois, because of the unions, they needed to have a man and a truck on the road to salt bridge decks.

When I got into Dodge there must have been an inch of ice on leading edges of truck. I parked and went to get something to eat but restaurant was closed, so I went back to the truck and went to bed. ;)
