In order to maintain these principles, UATX will be fiercely independent— financially, intellectually, and politically.
OUR PROGRAMS
UATX is developing the first curricular model that synthesizes a rigorous liberal education with an education that prepares the next generation of leaders to renew the promise of American society. Our curriculum is being designed in partnership not only with the world’s great thinkers but also with its great doers—visionaries who have founded bold ventures, artists and writers of the highest order, pioneers in tech, and the leading lights in engineering and the natural sciences.

Get a look at the founding trustees and 'faculty fellows' -- it's hard to discern even one definite Anglo-Saxon man among them what with all the Steven Pinker and Joshua Katz types. I knew this fireman in Chicago who would go to the firehouse with an eight ball in his pocket.
Anyway, at one fire he was in a house and coming down the stairs. He tripped and fell. His fire helmet went thru the wall at the bottom of the stairs. It must have been wall board since plaster and lath is a lot tougher.
I worked concert security with him also. When we worked The Highwaymen, he asked me if I wanted to meet them. So I was personal security for Johnny Cash during the Meet & Greet after the show.
Then they told me to follow Kris Kristofferson out of the building to make sure nobody messed with him. He went up the stairs and I followed him. when he got to the top landing he turned and looked at me. I told him what they told me, so he turned and kept going. ;)

I watched the trailer. Around here in SW Missouri in the old days, a man would get himself 40 acres. It was enough to plow with a mule and grow crops and raise a family. You would be hard pressed to do anything of that sort today unless maybe you were Amish. But then they do not have any modern conveniences either. ;)
