When working for Illinois State Highways (1981 or so.) after work once I was in Brothers Tavern for a couple of beers after work.

This human interest story came on. It seems this guy had found his long lost brother. It was one of the designers from the fag florist I made deliveries for on north side of Chicago.

I stood up on the rungs of the bar stool, pointed at the TV and shouted, "THAT GUY'S A FAGGOT!"

Every one was asking, "How do you know?"

I said, "Because I used to work with the guy. It was the same shop but we had different jobs."

All of them had trouble with hemorrhoids. The anus is an exit, not an entrance. :-/

I am not on those types of meds. I am just repeating it because it is an old story I am lucky to recall because the meningitis wiped out so much memory.

I have another one from the time I was doing the flower delivery gig.

I was near Clark, Broadway and Diversey which was the neighborhood the gays hung out. I spotted a drag queen. I said, "I know what you are!"

He/She/It replied, "You bitch!"

They do not like it when you spot them. ;)

Anything I am able to remember from the old days is a positive thing.

One time when working for Illinois State Highways, I was in Northbrook yard. They got a call that a UPS truck couldn't get up the hill on Willow Rd at Lehigh. I was told, "Take that 3 ton truck out there and go open the road."

I did exactly that. I took two passes and I made U-turns in middle of major intersection and drove on raised concrete medians to do it, but I got it done. ;)
