Think of that. Is it sending the price up in those countries? Lucky them if so.

They are lucky because they are buying at a low price. Silver is a far better buy.

It's down from the steady 25's into the lousy 22's. All the rules seem to have changed, eg the spread permanently huge.

If I had sold at $48/oz 10 years ago I could have moved from Tobacco Road to Easy Street.

The price of silver will rebound sharply and faster than gold. It is just a matter of when the market breaks.

Clearly not this century or the next.

The Hunt brothers tried to corner the silver market, but they were using borrowed funds. They got caught in a margin call and lost their shirts. ;)

Serves 'em right I guess. They're famous conservs but cornering a morket is a nono, amirite?

Silver is one of the few precious metals that can be used up. As long as J.P. Morgan continues to suppress the price of silver, it is going nowhere fast. Up slowly is the best we can hope for. ;)

Trying that certainly did not work for them. The borrowed money was the key. It wasn't as if they couldn't afford it. They could, but it just about wiped them out. ;)

"the Hunts owned 77% of the world’s silver"!?!

And the NY banks bailed 'em out? What's with that!

That JP Morgan silver belongs to China.

That JP Morgan silver belongs to China.

Does it really? Do you know the saying, "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."?

If the Chinese do not have that silver in a vault in China, then they do not really own it since it is being held by a third party. ;)

China owns the gold and the silver in the J P Morgan vault. And China kills people who steal from them.

I think they owned futures contracts. When the bottom fell out of the silver markets, the Hunt brothers could not meet their margin call and this wiped them out. ;)

Bidette's actions are driving the Russians into the arms of the Chinese.

If this alliance were to take hold it would fit into the script of Washington's Vision at Valley Forge. ;)
