Boomers retiring early? What the hell?

I have always been hard working my entire life. I have one neighbor now who claims he cannot work because of his bad knees. No idea what he would do to pay rent if it were not for disability pay he gets. But I am not sure at all how much work he has done in the past.

I made a fortune working snow and ice in winter in Illinois, and the taxes they took prove it. It also made my SSD payments very choice. One time they called me in three hours early for 18 hour shift. I had to stop to nap a couple of times toward the end of that one. We had hard hat with thermal liner. We would pull over and put out headlights and swing legs across onto the passenger seat with plow controls between our legs and nod off. You know you been sleeping when you wake up and windshield is snow covered. ;)
