I think 4 door P/Us are dumb. I'm sure if you've got a family that might be a good compromise, but it's a little late in the game for me to start over. Trying is fun though.
Thanks for posting this. The article at ZH peaked my interest, but I was too lazy to go hunting for it. The fellas at ZH are saying that getting one of these geared up to be usable is going to run about $35k. There was some neat units in the 80s, but the emissions crap had the engines weak as 3.2 beer.

They're still available in Australia, they call 'em UTEs (utility). Last I looked, some of them were really bad-assed, high power monsters. I think one was around 600-800HP with a price tag to match.
A two-door sporty AWD crossover would be cool. I guess Porsche made the Cayenne, but I'd have to buy that every six months when the insurance came due. I also read they're pretty unreliable and damned expensive to service.
One of the posters at ZH was saying there might be a lot of used cars on the market once the clot-shots get up to speed. He might be right about that.

Using bed liner as paint was clever. I'll have to tell Sling Blade about that and see if he wants to do it to the Sonoma.

A lot of the bed features are similar to my '13 Tacoma. After looking at those giant things with either six doors or six wheels, I've decided I'm going to hold out for one with six doors AND six wheels.
I'm an extremist.

4WD would make my life a lot easier getting out of here when it's snowy/icy, my alley gets pretty bad sometimes.
The two seat Euro version without the back seats, seatbelts & junk would be perfect for me. I like simple.
I'd be up at the credit union getting a cashier's check today. Actually, I could put it on my CC, it's cheap enough. Now I'm spoilt.

As soon as this little bit of snow passes, I'm going to go forage for food then hit the liquor store and pop the question to my 'girlfriend' there, "Are you married?"
There's a 99% probability that the answer is yes given her choice of vehicles (one of two huge Dodge Ram P/Us), 0.9% chance widowed and 0.1% chance lesbian.
I won't mess with #1, #2 would be acceptable and I could 'fix' #3.
I'm more worried what I'm going to find (or not find) at Kroger. It was really bad last time. Thank you, Bare Shelves Bidet.

Ag's gettin' the shit knocked out of it too. Oil's heading towards $90.
At least there's no more mean tweets. Those were really killing me.

Yeah, that's a really bad sign. She's got a Let's Go Brandon! sticker in the back window of the black one, the grey one has a topper on it (another bad sign).

I shall do as my jeep owning forefathers before me, set fire to the Cherokee, and push it into the river. A proper burial, for a vehicle spawned from hell.
All kidding aside, it was fine until the electrical problem and then shit caught fire.
At any rate I hope things improve where you are. Things here are getting stupid with the covid vaccine mandate. The vaxxed want those of us smarter than them to starve until we get our clot shots. I just got over covid for the second time. My immune system ought to be good for the next few variants until we get to Omegacron. Then Ill be like Charlton Heston in Omega Man.
I suppose a lot of us will be.
Nothing like giving a proper tune up to a lesbian, I applaud you brother if you can pull that off.

Not today, brutha, she wasn't there. There was a pretty intense situation that happened there though, there was no Windsor Canadian on the shelf. The guy had to get a case from the back room. Crisis averted. I guess my 'dream girl' will have to remain just that for a few weeks. McMurphy still comes over a couple nights a week when she has a bad day in the killing zone. I liked 30 year-olds a lot better when I was 20, they didn't seem so vacuous and uninteresting back then.
I did topoff the Tacoma $45/$3.299, it's still got about 39 cents to go until I set a record.
The grocery was pretty bad. I won't starve and if push comes to shove, I could chase prices up by going to 'name brand' or specialty shit. That's gotta be hard on folks that are closer to the edge than me.
The bar is open!

My buying days are over. I was paying Sling Blade an oz Ag/hr to work for me. I didn't do him any favors as far as gains on that go.
