I want to believe that, but they've had empty standing complexes like that for years. Wonder what's with the weird dark bottoms on those. Are they gonna be 3-story basements units with a moat of air around each or something??

Interesting, those two apparent gussets in the lower left hand corner. I wonder if they are supposed to prevent the building from tipping over, as tall buildings sometimes do in China.

I follow a man on YT who used to be a food broker in Asia. He speaks Chinese. He talked of what Chinese called tofu construction. Local Communist officials take so much bribe money out of construction projects that builders cut back on needed material. I have seen videos of wind blowing away huge chunks of buildings in China. Imagine what happens to your multi-million dollar investment when the wind blows part of your 30 story apartment building away.

Interesting. I've seen in a video of an inspection of a Chinese building under construction the concrete was so poor that the inspector was pulling chunks of it out of a pillar and crushing it in his hand like sawdust.

Impressive that they seem to be semi-intact...maybe the dirt cushioned their landing(s). I'd suggest a pyramid type design in the future.
