It's true that they're doing this. But it's never proper to say so because politicians are created a little below the angels. The American way is to trust politicians, bureaucrats, authorities, "experts" and government generally. I think doing so is a safer path for humankind because it's not nice the criticize people who've turned their whole lives over to serving us and our needs -- even if the horrible accusation is perfectly true.

We've gone this whole hellish period of time without anybody calling the perps on their real motives. Let's not breed any cognitive dissonance here.
