There's no shortage of stupid bullshit goin' around today...
Keystone XL would probably finished and online today if the Japanese toilet didn't shut it down on his first day as usurper-in-chief. You can't re-gear up projects like that in the blink of an eye.

That debacle by itself not only cost the local economies but hurt the workers who lost jobs as a result.
And Pete Butthead said they could find work in the solar industry. Fat chance Union pipefitters would be able to do that.
Then there were the steel workers building the border wall. Good thing Greg Abbott took the bull by the horns and started that up again. The illegals were simply going around the end of the wall where construction had stopped. ;)

I'm not really sure if that matters, Jim. It's oil that's off the market regardless. I'm not sure what grade it is, unless it's light-sweet crude, our refineries aren't really geared-up for anything else. I'm almost sure the shit coming out of Venezuela is heavy-sour, we're not geared up for that, for sure, not to mention we'd be dealing with Madurro[?], a shitbag. That's kind of why we ship shit to wherever and rely on the good stuff coming in. It's not a one-to-one swap, but the gains in efficiency are worth it. It's a helluva lot more efficient doing what we were doing with a sane President.
If we turn up one barrel short tomorrow, we've got a shortage. Every barrel short is going to cause the price to rise exponentially. $10/gal gas is closer, a lot closer, than you think. This is all about taking away mobility from the proles, while offering them "Green New Dark Ages" EVs that they will never be able to afford or charge if they're stupid enough to buy one. EVs are toys for people with a lot more money than brains. Kind of like airplane owners.

So when the dollar is done will we still be so focused on going to war with Russia (and China). I hate to think about going to war "BROKE" !
This fucking Biden is committing treason to avoid being charged with treason.
I'd like to see the truckers just run through the White House and the Capitol Bldg.

I've got some for you. The gal I've been conducting a long distance love affair with in S. Carolina every Friday Afternoon at Gardner One World Technologies, Inc. for almost a year, finally paid off. The drive motor controller finally came in from China. It was only $325. If it gets that 800 lb brick mobile, I'll be happy. I can worry about the $1,000 (plus truck shipping and tax), 400 lb battery pack later if something else isn't burnt out.
This Green New Dark Ages shit is great.
You spelled Japanese toilet's name wrong.

48 Volt Ryobi 38 in, Riding Lawn Mower Item #RY48110 (RM480e on the side). Look at the Home Depot website. It was the only tractor small enough to get through my front gate. It's a long, boring story.
Sumbitch died on the first use last year. It would've been the third year of use. I think the motor controller is shorted, because when I got the 125A AMI type fuse and installed it, I let the rest of the smoke out of the drive motor controller as soon as I turned the key on, no load. I don't think the drive motor is bad it didn't act funny or slow down, it just stopped, almost throwing me over the steering wheel. It barely rolls, leading me to believe the output of the motor controller is shorted and the motor is trying to act like a generator. I had to drag the sumbitch 40 feet to my garage with my truck and a log chain.
That's when I met the gal down in your neck of the woods. She was as helpful as she could be. It says on the repair sheets she sent me as a PDF that she's near Anderson, SC. The batteries are 12V SLAs 100A/hrs each. Last I looked they were about $250ea + shipping. I'm almost afraid to look now.

When I fell off the back of the turnip truck, it didn't back up over my head. Well, yeah, it did, but it was a glancing blow.
(Edit) To Zina B in SC:

BTW, I did some consulting work for Ryobi in Anderson a few years ago. Designed a motor control board to use for testing a new motor design for a battery powered drill. Then they tried to get out of paying me. Ignored my invoices, emails, calls, everything. Long story short, they paid me. If they ever want me to work for them again, it'll be payment in advance. And I'll quote the job high.

It isn't just Russia dumping Dollars, it is also China and Brazil. If the FED just once misses a buy in the secondary markets it will trigger an economic Armageddon that will make the Great Depression look like a walk in the park.
You will need plenty of water, food and ammo and a good safe house. ;)

One of the other reasons I picked it was that I thought it had a low enough CoG to hold the hill in front of my house (storage unit) without tipping over on me. It did, barely. My 20 y/o MTD (not a step-through) did good. Setting the seat up like Oliver Wendall Douglass' Hoyt Clagwell when they went to the step-through design screwed me as did the quest for bigger and wider, a 42" deck is the smallest readily available. That was a big factor in paying 3.5 times more for a tractor than I should have.
No. A drive motor attached to the transaxle and a separate motor for each of the two blades. Each motor has it's own motor controller. The drive motor controller, I think, acts as the ECU/ECM for the whole works, it's about the size of a shoe box 2-2.5" deep. Each deck motor has it's own controller, I have no idea why. In the repair sheet/parts list, one is labelled the master and the other a slave (Eeeek, racism). Somewhere in there is a DC-DC converter, probably to turn the 48V to 12V four the hour meter, lights, etc. I can't find that.
Yeah, I finally got Oster to give me some bones after the breadmaker deal. You wanna have have a hard time getting bux? Try an automaker or govt contractor like LTV/AM General (the HMMWV guys). My mother (God love her) was suckin' cock from coast to coast (on the phone) trying to get me paid back in the day. She used to love the work as a diversion and I could trust her.
I'm glad I'm old. My boss is my conscience and an 11 y/o girl.

At GM's Milford Proving Ground 20-some odd years ago, the guard at the gate house didn't want to let me carry my own calculator back out after I visited the facility to demonstrate a brake controller I had designed. "No property pass." Long story short, I convinced him not to start up with a South Carolina boy in his prime, and I left with my calculator in my briefcase.
Wow, just realized that sounds a lot like one of BTP's tales.

A lot of mine probably do too, but the techy stuff is so much more boring. Maybe we'll get better.
