A judge sentenced actor Jussie Smollett to 150 days in prison Thursday for filing multiple false police reports alleging he was the victim of a brutal homophobic hate crime.
Cook County Circuit Court Judge James Linn tore into Smollett during sentencing.
“You’re just a charlatan pretending to be a victim of a hate crime,” the judge told Smollett, adding, “Your very name has become an adverb for ‘lying.’”
“Your performance on the witness stand can only be described as pure perjury,” the judge also told him. “You are now a permanently convicted felon.”
“There is nothing that I can do here today that will come close to the damage you’ve already done to your own life,” Linn added. “You turned your life upside down by your misconduct and shenanigans.”
“I believe that you did damage to real hate crime victims,” the judge said, chastising the disgraced actor.
“The officer asked you a simple question. And then you start to lie and haven’t stopped lying since,” the judge said. “You’ve been lying and lying and lying about this case, and that’s why you’re here today.”
The former Empire cast member reportedly responded to the sentence by repeatedly yelling, “I am not suicidal!”
“If anything happens to me in there, I did not do it,” he also reportedly said.
Breitbart reports Smollett was sentenced to “150 days in Cook County jail, 30 months of probation, pay a restitution of $120,106, and a fine of $25,000.”
Last December, Smollett was found guilty on 5 of 6 felony disorderly conduct counts, each carrying a maximum sentence of three years in prison.

The one time I was in there for a bond hearing there was a black guard. He grabbed my handcuff and said, "C'mon, whitey." :-/

I worked with a guy who was a Guard at Cook County Jail back in the late 60s.
There was a black co-worker there who since he had a good job, he was able to get a mortgage on a 4-flat. He lived on 2nd floor.
When the news hit that MLK, Jr. had been shot and killed in Memphis, they cancelled the leaves for the guards. He opened the door to go to work and there was a black guy standing on the landing below. He was ready to light a Molotov cocktail.
He said, "Whatchoo think you doing?'
The black guy said, "I'll show whitey. I'm going to burn down this building."
The black guard pulled his pistol and killed that guy right where he was standing.
My friend asked him, "How are you going to explain that?"
The black guard said, "When they come along and pick him up, it's just another dead nigger."
The good blacks call the bad blacks niggers too. ;)

Tucker Carlson reacted live to the breaking news Wednesday night of Jussie Smollett’s release from jail on bond pending his appeal, saying "…you saw this one coming. Convicted hate-crime hoaxer Jesse Smollett was just sentenced to jail and now he's been released from jail, or is about to be."
"He was just a few days into his 150-day sentence. But this evening, an appeals court ruled that Jussie Smollett can go home while he works to get his conviction overturned," Carlson said. "Because he's not a Trump voter. He's not one of those January 6 guys, rotting in solitary for more than a year. He's Jesse Smollett. He's a famous actor."
"Smollett’s attorney said the appeals process will take longer than 150 days, so it's only fair to let him out as the appeal works its way through the system, because …he's a Hilary man."
