German Insurance

When I lived in Chicago, we had a German neighbor who was an insurance broker. He had a Shetland pony in a stall in his garage. He would drive that pony with a cart every year in the German-American Day Parade. If you lived in Germany and owned a horse and cart you were considered to be wealthy.

He was insuring a business and pocketing the premium. The business burned down and there was no policy. They found him hung in the horse stall/garage the next morning. :-/
