More than 700,000 miles of America's rivers, streams and creeks and more than 11 million acres of lakes, ponds and reservoirs are so excessively polluted that they are classified as "impaired," according to a new report by the Environmental Integrity Project (EIP).

More than 700,000 miles of America's rivers, streams and creeks and more than 11 million acres of lakes, ponds and reservoirs are so excessively polluted that they are classified as "impaired," according to a new report by the Environmental Integrity Project (EIP). The tally means that more than 50% of assessed river and stream miles and 55% of lake acres are so heavily polluted or otherwise impacted that they are not safe for swimming and fishing or as drinking water sources. The same is true for a quarter of assessed bay and estuary square miles, according to the report. The figures may be a vast understatement of the pollution problem as about 73% of river and stream miles have not been studied in more than six years. Regardless, they underscore a significant failure by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and state regulators to enforce the Clean Water Act, enacted 50 years ago. by Carey Gillam

I worked for the federal government. I had to deal with the EPA, All they did was wright regs, tell people they cannot use their land, never enforce the regs, They had the "Super Fund" but never used it.

They had the "Super Fund" but never used it.

The Twin Towers were contaminated with Asbestos. The Asbestos was never removed. It was abated and covered up. When the Towers went down, all that crap went up into the atmosphere.

The five dancing Israelis indicated foreknowledge of the events of the day. ;)

When the jew leased the towers, it was in the lease that he had to remove all the asbestos, less that a year they came down and the jew collected 1billion for each tower

Industrial pollution and agricultural run off (glyphosate, pesticides.) Even American rain water is polluted.

There is no water source unless it comes from deep under the ground that is not polluted with something. Filtration is needed for even the cleanest water, and even then you are still confronted with what is in the air.

This world will rebound when the last human being draws its last breath and it might take 1000 years, but this planet will be green again and ripe for some other race of beings to live here, and destroy. I am positive that’s more or less what happened. This world was once a green and lush place until humans were dumped here because we made trouble elsewhere in the universe.
