I live in a county with almost 100,000 people between Memphis and Nashville. The cheapest gas in town is $3.90.9. The cheapest diesel is $4.95 at Raceway. The next cheapest is Citgo at $4.99.
So I am wondering about diesel. LA is $6.33.6.

It is impossible to find cheap diesel fuel anywhere in the country because truckers need it.
When we drove trucks for Vestal out of Niangua we paid for diesel in CASH since you got 4 cents a gallon discount. We would also bring along a couple gallons of 20w-50 motor oil since it was cheaper to bring it along than to buy it at a truck stop.
Since we had a dedicated run to Florida every week, we knew how much fuel we needed. We would haul flowers out of west suburban Miami frequently. Other times we would haul produce back to AG wholesale grocers in Springfield.
One time we had four pallets of green tomatoes. They were so green the receiver didn't want them. So, we called the shipper. They said, "Just tell them to give them a little more gas." That turns them pink, but they are still hard as a rock. ;)
