It took Chip six weeks to get one of my trucks back on the road. It took the machine shop three weeks to resurface the heads, they're so busy. The new/used car market is so tight that everybody under the sun is repairing their cars rather than buying new.

I think Zuck has shadow banned me. I'm sure YouTube has, my advice about getting the A/C working on an SN-95/New Edge Mustang working by changing the relay board was spot-on.

I don't think a new gas cap would've helped it was always kind of loose since new.

ps: I use Sta-Bil, left gas in mower over winter, carb was fucked up next spring, never had a problem if I run it dry/drain it.

No, it isn't totaled. Just needs front bumper, bumper cover, grille, hood and trim, hood latch and support assembly, both front fenders, both headlights and turn signals, radiator, AC condenser, fan assembly, air filter housing, and 14,000 various plastic fasteners.
It's my new project. Used cars are too expensive, so I'm fixing this one. I'm highly motivated, because she's driving my truck until I get her car fixed. And I've got a big trip planned in mid June.

Would you be interested in a 2001 V6 Mustang that has had every fluid changed well before spec, but just "a little" rust on frame? 89,992 original miles.
I am pissed off, spent $3,500 at Ford Dealer a couple years ago getting shit like power window motors, heater fan motor fixed and the fuckers didn't mention that the shock towers were rotting out. And they didn't even get the A/C working, i diagnosed that myself, and ordered a new PCU board. Ford dealer wanted to charge me $600 to replace (plus $400 for the $90 board I bought from AutoZone), I told them Fuck You and found some decent folk who did it for $75. Thank God they showed me the rot before I put any more money into this car. These are safety issues, the dealer was simply negligent in not giving me an honest appraisal.

That's weird, I have the opposite experience. I fill up the tanks all the way to get the air out and never had a problem. I think a big problem is the damn ethanol in the gas. Chris told me a station in New Haven has non-ethanol gas. If it's not too expensive, I might start using that in everything.
Another thing I do is use stabilized premium in my small engines. I've heard gas loses an octane point per month in storage. I guess engineered gas is supposed to be really good, but I think that's crazy high, like $40/gal.
That's always caused me grief. I figured it was the fuel residue gakking up.
I don't know about SeaFoam. I think Taryl might have tested that in his long-term dealie he did a year or so ago.

Ya think? LOL, that is THE problem - corn squeezins disolve rubber tubing and o-rings.

Scotty covered that topic.
It is for marine engines, marine conditions, and was great for both in 1953.

Big project. Good luck on the parts. I'm glad Chip didn't have parts problems.
Ugh. Hate those things.

What pisses me off is that Bidet acts like he is saving the environment, the country, and morality in general. The truth is, every gallon of ethanol requires two gallons of fossil fuel input to produce. The whole thing is a lie and a scam to enrich fat-cat insiders, and fucks up the environment far worse than us simpletons would do on our own with our crazy ideas about reducing vehicle weight or tuning for maximum MPG vs PPM on test equipment.

Could everyone who replied "Mind your own business" please send me your home address? We are making a 2020's version of Soul Train, and will be assembling a dance crew outside your abode within the next few days. Do not look directly into the stage lights, our insurer refused to underwrite but thinks we may bear some degree of liability. Just ignore that, Mind Your Own Business!

GM Ft. Wayne Assembly is storing thousands of trucks out at the Casad Depot (formerly strategic material storage during the Cold War) waiting on chips or something. My buddy tells me the mice are eating the soy-based wiring harness insulation. Word is, is that they're going to destroy them all because repairs are too costly.
There's no shortage of stupid going around.
