Higher wheat prices will continue to drive food inflation.
Poster Comment:
This puts the war in the Ukraine in perspective. The Ukraine has 25 metric tonnes of grains it cannot export and combat in the midst of what should be planting season. And then there is the winter wheat which should be harvested in June. That and the failure to export fertilizer will make food rationing more popular even though it will quickly evolve into a passport.
