Update for Russian military operations in Ukraine for May 21, 2022:

1. Ukrainian militants in the Azovstal steel works have unconditionally surrendered numbering between hundreds (current Red Cross count) to thousands according to Russian sources;
2. Mariupol has been secured by Russia since mid to late-April - Ukraine finally admits however that its “combat operations” have fully ended;
3. Russia continues to make progress in the Donbas region - Ukrainian forces are being encircled in Severodonestsk and Lysychansk - the salient around Papasnya is expanding both west and north as part of this major encirclement;
4. Pentagon admits Russia still poses the majority of its combat power - possess a “numerical advantage” over Ukraine - and is making “slow, uneven” progress, but progress nonetheless;
5. Kharkov “offensive” has either stalled or is in the process of being rolled back;
6. US M777 howitzers have been found, tracked, targeted, and destroyed by Russian forces;
7. Additional attempts to send heavy weapons will face similar technical, tactical, strategic, and manpower challenges;

Any wagers/thoughts/ideas on how long this CF will go on?

That's a tough call, Dad. My guess would be until The Bidet's LGBTQ Crew becomes distracted with Civil War 2 here. For all intents and purposes, it's over now in Ukraine.

As long as the freakshow keeps sending tasty morsels to the Jookrainians for Vlad to blow up, he will abide.

Sometimes bowing out goes with the territory, but those vindictive homosexuals in DC think they're going to have the last word, even if destroys this country. I ventured outside of wire today to forage for food. It was bad. The worst I've seen. I thought about writing about what I saw today. It was too depressing.

(Edit) stillwater- http://hospice.org/ I do believe I've identified a major flaw in the Constitution.

(Edit 2) I had to look at my email today and saw your "Nagging Wife" link. That was funny. Oh, what the hell...

In the video he mentioned depleting the Ukrainian artillery first and then their ground forces. After that was Nikolaev and then 84 miles further to Odessa. After Odessa, Russia wants to take Transnistria, a breakaway republic. That should take until the end of June meaning not much food raised by the Ukraine this year. Brace for higher food prices.

At that point, Poland and Hungary would like to take back Ethnic Polish and Hungarian territory from what is left of the Ukraine.

And they should. Ukraine is such a corrupt shithole.

I suppose we should be worried about taking the US back from the commies in DC that are trying to codify starving, killing and using children as sex toys. JMHO.

I've found myself thrust into that fight on the correct side of it. I'm not too happy about it, but I'll do my job. Got nuthin' else to live for.

That hospice link reminded me of some Bad Indian Sign I got on Saturday. I had gone to the doctor and had a few medical tests run a few days earlier. In Saturday's mail were a doctor bill, two lab bills, and an offer from a local funeral home and cemetery.

PS - I'm not planning to die any time soon.

Glad to hear it. My older sister likes playing Russian Roulette with MDs. They're telling her she needs heart surgery or something. I suppose I should rejigger the transfer-on-death provisions in my brokerage and bank accounts again.

I'm like Loddy, I just take my supplements. The little 11 y/o squirt is keeping me alive at this point.

Cardiologist -- whom I haven't seen in several years -- wants me to wear a heart monitor for 4 days. But the girl at his office can't tell me what that would cost. So I told her to find out and let me know.

The two strangers who in 1967 climbed Ol' Rocky Top lookin' for a moonshine still will probably come down before I hear back from her.

Fine with me -- I've done resolved not to do it anyhow.
