For a hundred million bucks you cannot expect it to work. That's extra.

This is also to give China a leg up in any invasion scenario. Their invasion of Taiwan is imminent.

I agree. Those clot-shots are really messing up people. Been reading that a shitpot of civilian and .mil pilots are grounded for good now.
Most likely. Our .mil couldn't repel the groundhogs in my yard. They might try fuckin' 'em, that's about it.

Maybe we're just not advanced as far as the Russians are. That's probably well under 1,000' above the ground and almost upside down.

When the Glenview NAS was open back in the 80s, an F-16 flamed out over northern Illinois. He was able to glide to a landing at the Naval Air Station. ;)

He was lucky. The glide ratio of most F-XX .mil aircraft is not much unlike that of a bullet. Bullets tend to be much more stable though.
The FAA examiner told the FBO at Auburn about me years ago, "That guy's the best stick and rudder man to ever come out of Zero-Seven-Charlie. I used to do a lot of "non-standard" things during my solo time.
Larry the FBO: "Please tell me you weren't up there flying solo flying under the hood."
Esso: "OK, I won't tell you."
The first "official/legal" passenger I flew as pilot-in-command was my mother, who had never been in an aircraft. God was actually the PIC that day. I never took up another passenger that I cared about after that.
