My Mom sacrificed a lot to put us three kids thru parochial schools. My Dad was such a cheapskate he would never give my Mom any money. She finally found work with Illinois Bell listening in to phone calls and doing counts. Not sure exactly what that was but she told me once she was listening to a railroad company and when they answered the phone they said, "Chessie system." ;)
