Iran's president has threatened to destroy Israel if it carries out military strikes on Tehran's nuclear program.

Amid tensions, the Jewish state is suspected in carrying out a series of attacks targeting Iranian nuclear sites, as well as a prominent scientist.

In a rare news conference on Monday marking his first year in office, President Ebrahim Raisi said if Israel decides to carry out its threats to destroy Iran's nuclear program, 'they will see if anything from the Zionist regime will remain or not.'

Iran needs an upgrade to the S-400 to stop WW III. Russia, Iran and Qatar are forming a Natural Gas OPEC cartel. Iran sold 300 drones to Russia. They should get the S-400 upgrade but then it will not be announced until it is installed and tested.

Why on earth would Iran do that to Israel?

Think about it. Since 1980, the Iranians had plenty of arms and armament to invade and wipe out Israel and they never did. Why? Why now? Because what? The time is right?

Israel is Israel and Iran is Iran. Iran is never going to do a damned thing to Israel. If they were going to, it would have happened well before now.

Iran was never an ally of Russia and China until now. Iran should be being upgraded to the S-400. Times have changed.

I see that as being very costly and likely would not have succeeded. Main problem for both Israel and Iran to strike each other is the distance between them. Bombing runs by Israeli jets would need refueling en route, and also overfly Saudi airspace & the gulf. For Iran to Invade Israel, it would need to send an army through Iraq & Syria or send ships around Africa as the Suez Canal would likely not permit passage, and given the US-Iran tensions in 1980, the US would have happily sunk them in defense of Israel and would still do so today.

And Israel has nukes. They wouldn't hesitate to use them on either land or sea if they were faced with a credible threat from Iran.

Iran is an older culture. They have seen the futility of foreign wars. They do not have nuclear weapons. They do make weapons do defend themselves from existential threats.
