If everyone realized these have been happening since 2006 and always near a military base, one might put together that these little exercises are military in nature. Not once has anyone been arrested, and not once has any party been held responsible.

A post made of what looks to be telephone pole material, is still substantial enough to be a problem for some redneck in a truck.

From a purely military vantage point, where breaching is concerned, this looks like a bunch of guys who are trained professionals broke the post with the bumper from a deuce and a half, did their business and drove off. Within minutes leaving scant trace evidence behind.

The gate being knocked down to me is the tell as operational breaching if you are engaging in an op, you do not want the opposition to have the ability to close your means of escape, ie shutting a heavy gate that men would be forced to climb.

Knock down the gate so it cannot be used, do your job, get out. All within 5 to 8 minutes.

A 6 man team with an additional driver and commander (8 in total) could carry out this attack in minutes and be gone before the first phone calls to the police are made. Is law enforcement going to stop a military truck or two military trucks? Probably not. Especially in that area. The proximity to Fort Bragg is also a bit of a thing for me.
