With polling closed, and more than 17.5 million votes, the results stand at 57.5% answered "Yes" and 43.5% "No."

I don't think Tesla has much of a future now. Aside from electric cars being a horrible idea and unsustainable, Musk pissed off his entire lefty-liberal customer base with the acquisition of Twitter and allowing free speech, AKA - No liberal censorship.

No self respecting conservative would be caught dead with an electric car, nobody can afford them, the electric grid is too fragile to supply them with energy in depth and there's the rare earths mineral scarcity problem.

GM and Ford aren't exactly bastions of sanity or marketing genius. They should both know better.

GM wiped out my mother when their stock ran right down to zero during the financial crisis in 2009.

Ford sealed their fate when they made the bone-headed decision not to sell cars anymore, only SUVs/trucks a few years ago.
