We've all seen the term "gaslighting" used and I was inspired to see the film from which the term seems to have originated to better understand what it's actually supposed to mean. "Gaslight" is a flick from 1944 starring Ingrid Bergman, a beautiful woman in her day, and in this near 80 year old movie was an excellent actress. Apparently there's a 1940 version as well but can't speak for that one.
The movie is an excellent suspense drama. It seems the 1944 version isn't on YT but it's available by torrent download. If you're bored some evening it's a good 1.5 hour flick.

Got me a bit angry toward the end, which shows good acting.
Ingrid has a couple beautiful showings in stunning 1940's era cocktail dress. That even in a black & white film. I was like... "wow" which I never would have anticipated in such an ancient film.
But I can appreciate what "gaslighting" really means now.
