It's not hard to find patriotic men or women on either side of a war. They know first hand of hardships of others, most all innocent civilians unjustly killed as a result of the war, all blaming the other side for it and in euphoric outrage, gladly taking the chance to go to the front to get even, confident they can stay safe while killing the invading, advancing army.

In reality, some won't even get a chance to even see the enemy.
