I had a rude awakening this morning. At zero-dark-thirty, a truck driver buddy called me, needing a ride from a truck shop in New Haven to his car at River City.
"Where's your wife, why can't she do it?"
"She doesn't want to scrape [defrost] her car."
"Jesus Christ. Let me get a shower and I'll be there as soon as I can."
After I dropped him off, I figured I might as well go to Kroger while I was out and get that out of the way. I got home, put the stuff away and looked at the receipt. $66.66.
It should be a perfectly Satanic day. At least I don't have to go out again unless I decide to go see my Godson, Sling Blade.
The lure of Canadian Tea has a very strong appeal right now.
