First, it was Hershey's, then it was Bud Light, and now, Jack Daniel's is the latest brand this year to be facing a boycott over claims the company has "gone woke."

Social media users have taken offense to the whiskey brewer's "small town, big pride" campaign in which it teamed up with drag queens from Ru Paul's Drag Race—despite the campaign being nearly two years old.

The row over LGBTQ+ brand ambassadors is symbolic of a wider debate about drag shows and their exposure to children. Critics have expressed concerns over Drag Queen Story Hour, readings for children by drag performers at libraries. Tennessee, Jack Daniel's home state, was the first to pass a drag show ban in the presence of children over concerns about their sexualized content. The law has since been temporarily blocked by a federal judge.

Jack Daniels said in June 2021 that it had teamed up with three drag queens from the hit TV show to produce a series of videos called Drag Queen Summer Glamp, which was released during pride month. It features the participants completing challenges around the company's Lynchburg, Tennessee, distillery.

The whiskey makers said at the time that it was "a bold new experience— for both the queens and their hosts," while Lauren Richmond, then-brand manager for Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire, noted the campaign "reaffirms our commitment to the LGBTQ+ community" despite being an "unexpected partnership." ...

This is ALL part of the Psychological Warfare (Psyop) campaign devised by the Psychiatrists who HATE you and they HATE your freedom. The whole point of normalizing perversion is to ruin our society for their Masters and Mistresses in the WEF and Their bosses in the Banking (Banksters) Cartel headed by the Rothschild Fambly. This is all part of a long term criminal enterprise to OWN you, enslave you, and prevent you from being able to fight back against their tyranny. That is why we need to HANG the traitors or feed them into the Guillotine.

Forty Creek is REALLY good, but expensive. It puts Crown Royal to shame. I don't know anywhere that it's sold in Ft. Wayne anymore. Rainman said his store in Woodburn isn't carrying it anymore either.

Windsor Canadian is a good mixin' whiskey and cheap.

This seems like a good time to re-tell the story of when Confederate General Robert E. Lee was asked "General, do you like whiskey?"

"Whiskey?", he answered, "I love it. And that is why I never touch it."

It depends - a good mountaineering rope has less stretch but is harder to tie a "knot" in.

On the rare occasions (anymore) that I touch the hard stuff I generally like Glenfiddich on the rocks or Crown Royal in a Whiskey Sour - Yum!

A nice single Finca Porto is tasty as well. :-)

Oh, and by the way, I have it on good authority that a nice fruity Beaujolais is nice choice for spectating at a hanging.

Pudweiser - The "Queen of Beers", or "The Queer of Beers" take your choice.

I'll take none of the above.

The only way I know of the beat them is to be the Secured Party.

This means you must have your own Security Agreement on file with the Secretary of State of your sate of residence.

I knew an old boy in Delaware who was doing them, but he passed away on February 1 of this year. His wife got rid of all those old filings.

The filing is valid since they asked for collateral. I listed UCC Contract Account and it hyperlinked.

Getting your own is not free. it costs $400 in the form of four totally blank Postal Money Orders.

I do have the old file number and they still might be able to send me copies for a fee. ;)

a nice fruity Beaujolais

When I lived and worked in Illinois, I knew this old boy who was a cannoneer for Patton during WW II.

He told me he would walk into a French bar room with a pistol and say, "Aligner voux" or line up and he would rob them all.

I knew another guy that travelled in Europe. He said France was the only place they tried to cheat him.

I wonder why? LOL

Having had an Uncle who served in Patton's Armored Corps (Relief Column to Bastogne) I suspect that had old "Blood and Guts" learned of your old friend's escapades he probably would have had him tried and shot.

Which makes me think of the Traitorous scum Milley.

My old friend was knocking over Speak Easy's in Chicago during Prohibition.

Capone put the hit on them, so they took it on the lamb to Boston. They got back about a month later and Capone's boys grabbed them.

He told me, "We were standing there with our hats in our hands, "We're sorry Mr. Capone. We won't ever do it again.""

And Capone says to them, "Yeah? Well hit someone else's joints. Now get outta here."

I'd say they got off pretty easy. A lot of those guy got cement overshoes and were taken for a swim in the lake.

But they were just kids at the time. ;)

Yesterday the websites of both Jack Daniels and their parent company Brown-Forman brought up only a completely blank page. I had no problem getting to these websites -- no error message or anything like that -- but they both were only a blank page.

Today both websites are up and running again, apparently normally.

I wonder what kind of damage control clean-up they were doing on their websites yesterday?
