Brother I know your heart aches. It’s sad to see, but we’ve been there. Be well and take comfort that despite your sadness, that other person isn’t suffering or having to watch themselves or you decline. It’s about the only thing I can say that makes sense.

Pearl Jam

We worked Pearl Jam in Soldier Field in Chicago back around 95 or 96. It was the same stage as Woodstock 94.

When people started to body surf there was no way to keep them off the stage. There was a barricade out in the crowd with 15 guys standing around doing nothing. I called the Supervisor there on the radio and told him, "Send half your crew up on the front of the stage to help out."

My boss was hollering he didn't want anyone on the front of the stage. I told him, "You're not going to be able to keep them off. It's going to be just like Woodstock." ;)
