I'm under fire. Probably nothing like you were in the Philippines after you were dragged out of high school.

I understand why you didn't like the Independence Day fireworks now.

I spent a lot of time in or near combat zones, nothing like you were though.

I'm pretty fucked up, but the largest number of causalities, outside of Beirut in '83, has been from an attack within the US because of a "bug" and the solution.

I lost a lot of close people to me. I'm walking alone, now, Dad.

I'm always OK Pin. I had a minor heart attack a week or so ago.

I got a phone charger around, and some other stuff if I have to call the ambulance or get a ride home.

I'm thinkin' Cari is calling me to the Rainbow Bridge and Valhalla.

I won't mind going home. I'm making a little girl and her dad a multi- millionaire.

I'm tired of the pain. Sling Blade and the Squirt are my last program.

Take it from me that it IS truly home. Or maybe take it from Dr. Mary Neal as she's got more immediate experience on the subject. Earth is just a vacation spot, though obviously it can be a vacation spot from hell for some or even many people. But since earth ain't home, that ain't so bad.

But "home" also ain't a perm residence type place. You'll be back, just like all the people who've already left. Everyone you've ever loved and lost is still alive, and always will be. From this side, death looks like oblivion but it's actually the happiest day of our lives. Though admittedly the lead up to it can be the precise opposite.
