as US Ambassador Caroline Kennedy flags potential plea deal

US Ambassador to Australia Caroline Kennedy has hinted at a possible deal to allow Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to return to Australia.

Mr Assange has been facing extradition to the US on spying charges for more than a decade and claimed sanctuary in London's Ecuadorian Embassy for seven years.

But now ambassador Kennedy has said a solution could be in the pipeline to end the long-running saga.

If so, she is not completely useless.

Why would the US would want to make a deal? Are they afraid of the political reaction if Assange enters the USA? Maybe feeling too much heat already with Trump indictments?

Reading the details on the source site, it's a farce. Assange would still be required to first go to the USA to formalize the deal and he'd go to Australia to serve time. And of course once he's in the USA, the deal would conveniently fall apart.

The Deep Swamp wants Assange in misery for the rest of his life.
