When I worked for Illinois State Highways, one time when the Des Plaines river flooded badly, south of Palatine Rd where Milwaukee Ave and River Rd came together the road was closed because of high water.
The Lead Lead was out there in his Diesel pick up and the other guy was driving.
The Lead Lead told him to go to the left. He said, "But that's the deep water." He told him again, "Go to the left." He did and the Air Horn sucked up water. The diesel got hydro lock. It cost them $10 grand to put a new engine in the truck. And I bet no one got written up on that one. LOL

It was actually the Bolsheviks who hated the Czars.
I worked with this guy that was Ukrainian-American. He told me his Grandma said, "When the Bolsheviks took over they even raked out their root cellars."
Of course, we all know their collectivism ruined the profit motive in farming. ;)

Guessing it ate a valve. Stupid fucks think loud is better than balancing O2 sensor with backpressure.
I've yet to meet a greaser street racer that knew more about O2 sensors than German or Japanese engineers.

Just like last time, I'll ignore all their restrictions. Never wore a mask; don't own one. Won't pretend I'm sick to humor the hypochondriacs or to please the psychopath elites who wish to humiliate and degrade us.

About 25 years ago I did an extended job interview with a company that manufactured and sold aftermarket automotive ignition systems. Expensive systems. I had some knowledge of and experience in that field, and about lunch time on the second day, I concluded that these folks did NOT know more about automotive ignition systems than Ford, GM, and Chrysler.
That said, the performance of their high dollar systems was in some respects superior to OE, e.g., total spark energy and spark duration.
The company was later sold to Prestolite, then Prestolite sold the ignition product line to MSG.

Somehow I still think that professional engineers know more than the morons next door that have an Audi TT sputtering, spitting, backfiring and stalling.
