A Russian combat helicopter has crashed over the Sea of Azov. The model is a Ka-52 helicopter, also known as “Alligator”. This reports the German news website n- tv.de with reference to the online media portal Baza.

According to Baza and responsible rescue personnel, the two pilots of the affected Ka-52 helicopter escaped with their lives. The helicopter is believed to have crashed over the Sea of Azov about 1.5 kilometers from the coast already on Friday. Baza cites difficult weather conditions as the reason. It was very foggy in the area.

The Sea of Azov borders Ukrainian territory, among others, such as the Crimean Peninsula, which was illegally annexed by Russia in 2014. The Kamov Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopter is a Russian model, which is the further development of the Kamov Ka 50, also known as the Black Shark. It had its maiden flight in 1997, and serial production started in 2008.

Normally Ukes can't shoot down a KA-52. Its missiles have a 14.5 km range. Problem is that their pilots are brave and take risks.

But this is not a setback for Putin compared to the Ukrainians having 400,000 war dead. And opening a new national cemetery with spacse for 400,000 more.

Putin just opened a new drone factory. Maybe his 6th? America can't do that.

Putin just opened a new drone factory.

Are the Russians able to get the electronics and make those new drones?

Right now, the U.S. gets most of their electronic components from Taiwan. And if the Chinkernese make a move to take back that island and a wayward province, then those components would become immediately unavailable. ;)

They are turning out lots of missiles and drones plus advanced equipment for their jets and tanks. China just produced a 5G phone despite sanctions.

The main problem with 5G phones seems to be the signal does not go thru walls. So if you are inside a building, you are basically cut off. ;)
