after being taught to steal by 'THEIR PARENTS' in modern-day Oliver Twist

Children as young as eight are being taught to commit crimes by 'their parents' and have been reportedly ransacking businesses in New York City.

In what's been dubbed the modern day Oliver Twist, the New York Post reported that the young crooks have been terrorizing bars on the east and west of Manhattan and Brooklyn for months.

A typical crime spree will vary from kids snatching cash from unattended bags to stealing cash from open safes with two businesses hit in the past two weeks.

In the first instance children try to solicit money under the guise of raising funds for their sports teams, for example, before fleecing their targets for anything they can find.

Most disturbingly, business owners told the Post that they've seen adults waiting for children outside the targeted businesses.

How on Earth are these young'uns allowed into bars in the first place? ;)

I know some states allow children in bars (or used to back in the '80s, anyway), but only if they are accompanied by an adult.

The story says that adults have been seen waiting outside for those young hoodlums. ;)

That's no way to talk about Amish kids. :)

I know you are joking Dakkie, but that is not a nice thing to say about Amish kids. They have been brought up to not be aggressive.

I knew this Mormon woman who went to dine with the Mennonites. They didn't like her because she was not like them. ;)
