The Grill Flame and Star Gate programs were more about being smart and focused enough to do predictive analysis rather than "ESP" and "remote viewing."

The best way I can describe it is looking at the pieces of a disassembled jigsaw puzzle face up on a table (a situation) and being able to tell what the picture is of. The better you are at it, the more pieces and/or detail that the puzzle could have.

If you truly had ESP, you could tell what the puzzle was with the faces of the puzzle facing down. If you could do remote viewing, you could sit in you little isolation chamber and transport yourself to the room where the puzzle box was and look at it.

I don't hold a lot of stock in either. "6th sense" can either be attributed to an extreme familiarity to a situation or paranoia. It's like being a helicopter pilot, you just know that if something bad hasn't happened, it's about to.
