Damn, I love shooting brakes. My 2010 Smart clown car is kind of one. It's got a P/U type tailgate on it with a compartment inside big enough to hold an AR-15 carbine/M4.

That color sucked shit in hell.

I was always partial to these:

I was always partial to these:

There's not too many of them near FTW. It is cool. Chip's still waiting on an A/C condenser from Germany for for the clown car. I'm getting separation anxiety.

"Germany? Jesus Christ. How much is that gonna cost me, Chip?"

"I dunno, you need it."

The bill for removing the front clip and the A/C repair was supposed to only be $750. I don't have any idea what this debacle is gonna cost now.

I found a (million) new clutch actuators on eBay starting at $89. Mercedes wanted $850. Fortunately, Chip has the boxes and the Mercedes software to "relearn" the new one.

When he had to get the two new rear axle assemblies to fix the ABS (tone rings [reluctors] rusted out), he either went to Mercedes Cleveland or Cincinnati for the parts. I think it was $700/ea.

I think the pain and tinnitus is affecting my judgment.

Put a $39 eBay carburetor on my new-to-me John Deere GT245 today (traded a friend my log splitter for it). Runs fine. Just had to bend the fuel line nipple down a good bit to avoid interference with the air filter housing. John Deere wants $375 for the OE part.

I got cheap carbs for my and Chris' Poulan Pro snow blowers from somewhere when his failed. Mine's still in the box in the shop. It won't be long before I have to stage the blower in place of the lawnmower.

$38 carb did the trick for my friend's Stihl MS250 chain saw today. (Not bad for OEM! Chinks get $15-25.) Also, spark was weak weak; the magneto was too far from the flywheel magnets. Had to reposition it to intensify spark.
