Israel has asked the United States for $10 billion in emergency aid. This is reported by The New York Times (NYT), citing three sources among officials.

It is noted that this amount seriously exceeds the one that the White House planned to coordinate in Congress to allocate $ 2 billion to Israel and Ukraine. A bill with such a volume of assistance to the two states will be proposed to congressmen by President Joe Biden after the House of Representatives chooses a new speaker.

Earlier, US President Joe Biden expressed confidence that Washington can simultaneously help Ukraine and Israel with the phrase "who, if not us".
