NOBODY in 1961 (63 years ago) held that opinion of homosexuals unless they themselves were gay. Homosexuals were not tolerated back then, not even in prison. Period.
Check an old DSM manual or your old Psych 101 textbook and you'll see that pedophilia (and transvestitism) stems from being a homosexual. Later, it was discovered that homosexuality is caused by a brain defect/damage in the hypothalamus region of the brain.
