The woke city of New York is being overrun by rampant crime, illegal immigrants, and now squatters thanks to a law that turns them into tenants after 30 days.

New York City homeowners are being pushed to financial limits that allow squatters to live rent-free. At the same time, the owners are forced to keep paying electricity and maintenance bills for the apartments.

Under New York City law, anyone who lives in a home or apartment for at least 30 days can claim squatter’s rights, even if they broke into the property without permission from the owner.

I sold an ounce to my coin dealer Friday. He only paid $100 under spot. APMEX was selling the particular coins at only $60 over spot. Supply is good.

Last time I sold, Solly paid me over spot for gold. That's been a while ago.

Where I live if there is an empty house the junkies get in there and start a fire to cook their dope and end up burning the place down.

Haven't heard the fire sirens lately so maybe the drug task force has gotten things under control. ;)

In normal countries people don't steal your house like this. In 2nd and 3rd world countries you bring relatives or pay local thugs and evict them yourself.

In the US the squatter is protected, while evicting one gets you locked up. Worst of all worlds.
