Looks more like an ordinance malfunctioned.

Sounds like an accident or suicide.

Sounds like an accident or suicide.

Reporting it as an accident would do less damage to morale.

Tragic, either way.

Hamas makes their own RPGs. They have a double tap. Merkava tanks have better armor protection than an Abrams as they don't have to be airlifted.

They make their own sniper rifles. Probably have magnesium in the rounds to ignite the target.

The rifle looks like a 50 caliber.

A round merely grazing the soldier would deliver a huge amount of energy.

Like this @1:34...

After playing the video numerous times I do see a small dust cloud kick up about 10-20 feet behind the soldier. At the same time an object falls away from the point of impact.

Guessing he was hit through his utility belt. Looks like the object falling away is a (smoke?) grenade handle.

[Edit: I had to go to Bitchute and watch the original video on full screen]

Looked like it to me.

A .50 BMG would. Ballistics gel/dummies might be a good approximation for flesh, but it doesn't take into account for musculature or the resilience of skin. I'm assuming that "API" means armor piercing incendiary ammunition. I'm not experienced with what that does to people IRL.

The original video was odd, to say the least.

FWIW, open bolt MAC 10s & 11s will dump the mag in about a second (you can see that in the first firing of the prop guns). I have an open bolt M10 and a closed bolt, semi-auto M11, 9mm (also made in .380 or something) rattling around somewhere.

Only reason I posted this nonsense is that I Like Michael Mann productions (MV, Thief, Heat, etc.).
