An electromagnetic pulse (EMP) is a strong burst of energy that can destroy electronic devices. An EMP can be caused by a natural event, such as a lightning strike, or by man-made means, like a nuclear explosion.

If you're worried about the possibility of an EMP attack, you can start preparing by learning which items will and won't survive it. (h/t to SurvivalSullivan.com)

Too long to post. Great ideas. Go to source https://www.survivalsullivan.com/will-wont-survive-emp-attack/

Get a Faraday cage for your electronics and your car. I have seen car covers that protect from EMPs, ditto for computers.

If natural gas is available locally, converting cars in a local area would be a great idea.

EMP weapons do not exist.

1) Carrington Event of 1859 was a natural EMP. 90% of Americans would die in the first year if it happened today.

2) A Hydrogen bomb blast high enough in the atmosphere would be a man made EMP for the relevant area.

EMP weapons do not exist.

Out of curiosity, what makes you think that?

No scientific data on weaponized EMP.

All theory. And very little of that.

Carrington Event of 1859

Vague information on that event.

...most intense geomagnetic storm in recorded history, peaking from 1–2 September 1859 during solar cycle 10. It created strong auroral displays that were reported globally...wiki

We just had a powerful geomagnetic storm with auroral displays every where...with all the nano technology floating around all that happened was some GPS outage.

Headline: Solar storms cause GPS in tractors to temporarily break...

Regarding an air burst hydrogen bomb...

A Hydrogen bomb blast high enough in the atmosphere would be a man made EMP for the relevant area.

Science demands empirical data. There is none (that I could find):

The Scientific Method

Qualities of good science:

Not based on authority

Testable

Repeatable

Universal

Measurable (Tangible)

Observable

Narrow (Occam's razor)/Simple

EMP weapons do not exist.

They most certainly do. To say otherwise is akin to saying Electricity and magnetism do not exist. They do. From the more catastrophic EMP releases from nukes to the silly DIY youtube pet projects the screw with things on smaller scales.

That all said, if you can distill your own water youll be fine.

EMP exists...in the laboratory...perhaps in industry (I haven't bothered to look into it).

But as a weapon...nope.

Of course, electromagnetic pulse exists. Take any electromagnetic field, as in an electric motor, and pulse it...voila, an electromagnetic pulse.

Easy to replicate if you have the inclination...I don't...lol...better things to do.

The key word in my statement is "weaponized".

Again, there are no weapons that create any kind of significant damage, to make them useful to our military.

Ask google if the United States has EMP weapons in the arsenal...all you get are non-answers.

Here's the very top answer I got from a .gov site...

Several nations, with United States at the forefront, are reported to have developed non-nuclear bombs capable of generating EMPs.

Please note the words "reported to"...

Well, we either have them or we don't. I vote "we don't"...but that's just silly old skeptical me.

I could wax on about the insufficient data that prompted this first ever investigation:

"the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) launched a three-year research project in April 2016 to investigate the potential impacts of a HEMP attack on the electric transmission system and to identify possible options for mitigating impacts. This report summarizes the research and findings of this three-year research effort".

I downloaded the pdf but it's a real snooze fest, loaded with conjecture and what I believe is outright mockery from the contributing sources within the DOJ. The EPRI, acting mainly on behalf of their shareholders, just seemed indifferent to their findings.

As a weapon yes, that nuclear shit has all been extinsively studied and proven out in those south american / anartic islands.. the bimini I think,,, Bikinni Atolls maybe, I forget...

But yeah , it would only take a couple of high altitude ,large ones to blind this whole continent .

Then theirs the on going solar aspect to our electric way of life... them poles are a flipping.

U.S. Air Force confirms Boeing’s electromagnetic pulse weapon

Saw the video of a Boeing engineer talking about this project.

He said they weren't quite there yet. They hoped to take out a building sized system. He didn't sound too positive.

Video has been taken down apparently.

How Electromagnetic Pulse Attacks Work

Tom Harris with Howstuffworks says, "The United States has NNEMP weapons in its arsenal". He promises! Cross his heart and hopes to die! Dang it, he means it this time!

He writes: "...was being tested as of 2022". Being tested? But in the arsenal? Shouldn't they wait to put weapons in the arsenal that are fully tested, with data out the wazoo?

He further states: "Most likely, this type of weapon would affect a relatively small area — nothing on the order of a nuclear EMP attack — but it could do some serious damage". Most likely? Small area? Could do some serious damage? What does that mean?

And thats also what kinda makes small scale of this style pointless.

Possible yeah. Their are working prototypes. But what damage that could be done... just uses boom. 50 cents of boom can get er done just as effective as a million dollar future weapon... that is perpetually needing testing and experimenting on , ya know.. them poor boeing, lockheed, grumman MIC boys gotta eat too.

Nah, if military want to do this it is a full bore thing , N day.

I'm guessing it would be used to take out a local power grid.

A HEMP (High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse) generated by a nuke would affect a continental sized area in comparison.

EMP weapons

I am willing to admit that my statement is a bit emphatic.

Back when the whole country was hyperventilating over the ballons that were drifting across the country it all got to be too much for me to swallow. Starting looking like another pysop.

EMP (weapons) may be all that they claim but I just wasn't finding convincing data.

I reached my conclusion, factoring in all the lies we've been fed, but in all honesty, it's just an opinion.

At the end of the day, I believe they are just going to hack the grid. And 90% of Americans will be wiped out.

You state something as a fact. "EMP weapons do not exist" Then you say it is just your opinion.

You got called out for lying and cornered. Then you say it is just your opinion.

That is the way you always operate. Just making stuff up you don't know about.

You make the statement "all Israel will be saved".

I'm asking you about "all Israel will be saved". Netanyahu, for example, would he go to hell if his heart gave out on him today?

Why are you so scared to answer?

Are you lying? Don't know how to answer? Fact, or just your opinion?

Answer the question.

Does that mean the wedding's off? I took my old double breasted suit to the cleaners today that I wore to Pam's (Punk) 25th anniversary CIA dinner, and Doc's been picking out her bridesmaid's gown.

Great, another fucked up weekend. Maybe her soybois can spend the weekend on my couch too.
