According to Russian sources, the president of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, is dead. According to the same sources, his helicopter was shot down either by a bomb or by a MANPADS anti-aircraft missile.

There were three helicopters in the presidential convoy. The only thing that didn't make it was the helicopter of the Iranian president. The remaining two landed safely in Tabriz, a large city in northwestern Iran.
