Correction: They ARE destroying our food supply.
This article prompted me to go out this morning and plant ANOTHER 60- foot row of potatoes.
Obviously, the perpetrators of this famine think they are immune to the starvation they are causing. I smile just a little when I think of how they will meet their end.

I met a guy years ago, probably in the 1980s, that owned a vineyard up north in Kendallville (Kendalltucky), that told me about a way of planting taters in stacked tires.
I don't remember the details, but you'd stack up six or so tires, fill them with dirt, and the potatoes would keep growing downwards and to harvest the top ones you'd just take off the top tire and they'd continue growing down.
You ever hear of such a thing?

Haven't tried this "tower" planting but I can tell you from experience...novelty YouTube stuff, while generating views, seldom works very well in real life.
Edit: My first question, where does one get the material to fill the tower? I have a working farm with hay and manure everywhere, and still I'd struggle to fill just one of those towers.

My injuries don't like me doing much, if any, manual labor anymore.
Too bad. I'll bet Dakkie would like tire flavored potatoes.

When I got to the Flyin' J Fuel Stop at La Junta, CO it changed over the freezing rain and was like that all the way into Dodge City since that was the closest truck stop.
I had to slow down for a fender bender near a RR bridge and then there was a 4-wheeler driving stupid. I got over in the left lane and he spun out and went onto the right ditch.
So I called Smoky Bear and told him. I passed him going the other way a couple miles down the road. I flicked the running lights at him and told him, "He's back there on my side a couple miles of so."
When I got into Dodge there must have been an inch of ice on the leading edges of the truck. I went to get something to eat, but the restaurant was closed. So, I went back to the truck and went to bed.
These are old memories and am very lucky to recall them because of the meningitis which wiped out so many of them. ;)

Dakkie's in trouble.
The Messicans are beatin' him like a piñata.
It's up to you to go in there and get him out.

After McMurphy and Ramette died, I went to the Flying J in New haven looking for a date.
The trannys have chased off all the chics.

Yeah, I know. He found what looked like a pretty good place in Wabash, which would've put Octavia about mid-point between us (if she's still there).
I don't remember what killed that deal.
I've got his back, regardless.

Tip: If you can find a blue, black or purple variant, it is darker because it is high in anthocyanins like resveratrol. They kill cancer and protect the immune system.
PS: Only eat red cabbage, never white. Red is cabbage color for anthocyanins.

I wonder just how much real nutrients are in those Sweet Potatoes when you consider all the chemical farming that is done.
If they were Organic, then it is a good chance they would be more nutritious. ;)
