Latinos are feeling battered.

They should be. When we lived in Chicago, we went on a hit on the Latin Kings near Lawrence and Kedzie.

Five guys walked around the corner. A couple minutes later they came running back around the corner. The Ricans were right behind them. They caught one guy and start hitting him in the head with a cane that had a crown on the end. He reached up and grabbed them both by their Fros and mashed their faces into the brick wall.

I was driving the old Blazer. I take off and this Rican had a crutch and was going to put it across my windshield. I flicked the steering wheel right and "bing" he went flying.

I made a right at the corner and one of the guys was not yet in the back. He went flying off. He got u0 and started to run south. This Rican jumped in front of him with a knife and he kicked it from his hand.

We made a U-turn in the middle of Kedzie and Lawrence and picked him up.

Thet guy the Ricans were hitting in the head with the cane beat us back home on foot. He ran five long city blocks.

This memory is from the late 70s.;)

I'm so glad we have all this diversity to lead the way to a better life. Honestly, I could do without stabbings and street takovers, but TV says I like that shit, so who am I to argue?
