Rep. Lauren Boebert, the polarizing congresswoman from Colorado, won a House seat in a new district after opting to seek reelection in a more firmly Republican area.
She defeated Democratic nominee Trisha Calvarese, a former speechwriter for the AFL-CIO.
Boebert, 37, who eked out a shockingly close win in Colorado’s 3rd District in 2022, decided to boost her chances at securing a third term by running in the much redder 4th District this year.
