NAFTA caused 80,000 US manufacturing sites to close. Joe Biden at one point after October 7th of 2023 was paying $8,000 for one artillery shell. Israel is so depleted of interceptors that they have to ration their responses and chose which incoming drone and missile will they attempt to intercept.

This is because US military hardware is obscenely overpriced, a result of very minimal competition between a small handful of arms contractors over a period of many decades, with no new companies entering the bidding contests. It's so expensive the US can't even afford to buy weapons in appreciable numbers. Interceptor missiles can cost 100x more than the missiles, rockets and aircraft they are supposed to be intercepting, especially when they are decoys who's only purpose is to draw fire.

Remember when the US sent up an F-22 that costs some $85,000/hour to fly and needed TWO (2) $200,000+- missiles to shoot down a $10 high school balloon project.

The US MIC is spoiled and just in the business for the obscene profits they make, not for any patriotic purpose whatsoever.
