Thanks, the title set the hook in me. It was a stupid weekend, time change notwithstanding.
Kimmy wasn't feeling good this weekend and I managed to throw a family into turmoil Saturday afternoon before Kim got here, by helping them out, which I learned about via angry text messages at 0340, (0440) on my bedroom clock Sunday morning.
My HL-107 3 in 1 vacuum cleaner got here Saturday, China to California with stops every 45 miles to change horses in the US. Two and a half weeks from Zhejiang, CN to my mailbox.
Voltage 7.4V
Peak power 120W
Power 50W
G.W. about 290g
Dust cup capacity 0.4L [Right, try more like a quarter cup, at best]
It comes with a USB to coaxial plug for charging with a bi-polar LED charge indicator.
I don't think I'll be plugging that into my computer to charge, I don't want to turn it into a pile of smoking diodes, so I found an old phone charger to use. Much better to burn down my house than damage my computer.
It was supposed to be grey. Of course, it's green. I'll have PTSD flashbacks back to the couple years of hell when I was banging Danica Patrick everytime I see it. I hate green.
To turn it from a vacuum into a blower, you take the dust bin off and clip a little nozzle onto the outlet side of the thing. Of course, you know how it's almost impossible to reverse the rotation of a DC motor. It's subtle. In that configuration, it looks like the thing doctors use to look in you ear or up your nose.
When I said it looks like a heatgun, think a half-scale heatgun.
While its utility seems to be limited, if they're not lying about the 20 minute run-time, it might be enough to blow up my 'weekday girlfriend' when Doc's not here.
I'm hoping it really doesn't dissipate 120 Watts in use, or I'm going to have to dig around the shop attic for the asbestos mitt used to change hot barrels on my M-60 machine gun.
My buddies will get a kick out of it. I'm glad it was less than 50 bux.
I really need to get around to signing those guardianship papers that turn my destiny over to Kimmy before I buy the 'miracle' toaster oven/air-fryer/convection oven/dehydrator combo for 'ONLY' $375 + tax + shipping & handling.
I might switch from the ridiculous to the sublime. I have three choices:
1. Deal with ObamaCare. Open enrollment started Saturday.
Or
2. Go through reams of Medicare info my sister emailed to me.
Or
3. Break out Doc's booze and say, "Fuck it all!"
Number three it is! The temperature displays on my 3M precision clock were locked up for some reason. I KNEW it was warmer than 74.7 in here. It was over 80 downstairs with the sun coming in.
That thing hasn't been right since lightning hit my house several years ago. It didn't hit the powerline, it hit the house. You could see lightning tracks in my living room wall. It did a lot of damage trying to find ground.
I'm sad that you didn't chime in on my vacuum debacle, I consider you my 4th or 5th dad.
Horse would be one, but he's my doctor. He's not allowed to call me an asshole or care about me. Doctor stuff.
A dad joke might've made me smile.
The first time I heard this song I was following a trucker to E&R Trailer in Lima, OH.
My neighbor Betty had just died in early 2020. She was the last non-clot shot death until last June when Sling Blade's GF killed herself and Angie's cancer got her.
I wasn't allowed to sign Betty's guest register t her funeral because Covi. I sent one of those big flower things on a tripod, They had it at the head of her casket.
Her family wasn't what you'd call well-to-do, my flowers were the most prominent other than the casket spray that My high school classmate David O. McComb probably charged them $1,000 for.
I should call him for my commission.
I should take my tax-babe and her gals some flowers and snacks, it's been a while, they probably think I'm dead.
