Is there a question or is this just anxiety about your sister? 

I was sort of numb when my older brother died. 
I was the one who found my great-grandmother when she died. I was 6 but losing people who are a lot
older than we are is expected. Losing people of our age who were close to us is difficult.

I had a cousin by marriage who wanted to die because he was the last of 8 young men who died of died
of AIDS. He chose to let the then primitive AIDS treatments kill him. His brother who was also gay 
decided to refuse treatment and is still alive today.
