I read that Trump just signed an EO declaring the day before Xmas and the day after Xmas as a federal holiday. Like they need more holidays.
Businesses will be on the hook for paying people who aren't working for two more days. Not a good idea, IMHO.
Why not the day before Christmas through the day after New Year's? Or Thanksgiving through New Years?

Anyhoo, I'm still under the weather and feel like crap. This cold just won't let go. I'm gonna tell Kim to sit this weekend out too. I don't want her having to be my nursemaid or getting sick.
We'll have a long weekend after Christmas. She'll be working the hospital on Christmas. Her seniority gets her the day shift at least. I'll either see her Xmas night or Friday night if her office is open on the 26th.

It's going to be a slow news day. I might take some NyQuil and take myself back upstairs.
