It's supposed to be 57 today, 59 tomorrow, it could do this all winter and I wouldn't complain. I should run up to Vijay's and gas up the Clown Car and get a can of gas for the snowblower today.

I ought to get to Kroger tomorrow, I don't think I've gone since before Thanksgiving, my deep freezers are gettin' a little thin-in-the-skin.

Maybe I'll get to see Dr. Kimmy this weekend and see if we can get our relationship back on track.

I got some damn bug that's going around and told her to stay home so I didn't get her sick for two weekends.

She got it anyway, probably from work, she still came over and spent the weekend in bed with me as her nursemaid.

I don't think she was feeling well enough to come last weekend, I don't remember, TBH.

I think I'm losing weight with the worrying about my sister. While I was running around yesterday, my gun was about pulling my pants off. I might need to adjust my tactical belt a couple inches.

Yeah, my sister's not doing well, I think this is her 7th week in the hospital. I warned her about the clot-shots.

She might not ever get to go home again.

My and Kimmy's relationship has always been edgy since we got back together again a couple years ago after 40+ years apart.

I never had any delusions that what I was doing 'helping people', but it paid good. Sometimes you just do what you gotta do.

Covid turned Doc's world upside down. She saw first-hand what 'just following orders' and 'gov't/hospital directives' does.

It's not like throwing her career away was a viable choice in her 50s. She has a lot invested in it. She has to deal with the survivor guilt now. It's hard.

Needless to say, we don't talk about our careers much to each other. I guess however they beat the humanity out of her in college is wearing off.

We could probably both stand some brushing-up on our philosophy lessons.

I made magnetic window screens to cover the condenser inlet vents to stop the stupid cottonwood fuzz that plugs my A/C coil in a day when it's blowing.

Works good, I just brush the lint off with a brush with the unit off so the fine dust doesn't get sucked in.

JUST IN: Renee Nicole Good was a Minneapolis "ICE Watch" "warrior" who "trained" to resist feds, according to the New York Post.

The Post reports that Good worked to "document and resist" ICE in Minnesota.

Good reportedly moved to Minneapolis last year and quickly connected with anti-ICE activists through her son's charter school.

The charter school says it puts "social justice first" and "involving kids in political and social activism," according to the Post.

"She was a warrior. She died doing what was right," a parent whose child goes to the school told the outlet.

"[Good] was trained against these ICE agents, what to do, what not to do, it’s a very thorough training... To listen to commands, to know your rights, to whistle when you see an ICE agent," the parent 'Leesa' said.

The Goods reportedly moved to Canada from Kansas City after Trump won the 2024 election and planned on living there for good before moving to Minneapolis.
