Late one night, security footage caught a man stopping his car in the middle of a quiet street.
He opened the door, pushed his dog out, and sped off. The dog stood there. Confused. Watching his owner disappear.
Before anyone could blink, a loud crack split the sky, lightning struck nearby, and the man’s car lost control, slamming into a pole. Totaled. Airbags deployed. Police arrived and the driver claimed he “didn’t know what happened.” Said he was “just heading home.”
Until officers reviewed the street camera footage. They saw everything. Animal abandonment charges were filed. After recovering from minor injuries, he was arrested and placed on probation. His case is still ongoing.
The dog was later adopted by the police officers and stays in the station during work hours.
