 PEACE TALKS FAILING

After meeting with Pakistan's Army Chief Munir and his delegation in Tehran yesterday through today, Iran has said new talks with the US would be "of no benefit without a framework first," emphasizing the US "must fulfill commitments" and drop its "excessive demands," per Tasnim.

Microsoft confirms Windows 11 KB5083769, KB5082052 wrongly forcing BitLocker recovery

Microsoft this week released its latest Patch Tuesday update, the release is for the month of April 202. On Windows 11 under KB5083769 and KB5082052, the new update brings a major Remote Desktop-related change, among other things (read the changelog in full in the linked article above).

While initially Microsoft did not report any known issues with the latest Patch Tuesday, the company has now added that all systems which have received the updates are affected by a BitLocker-related issue. This means Windows 11, Windows 10 (KB5082200), as well as Windows Server 2025 and Server 2022, are all hit by this.

(When I get the money, I am going to buy a used Widows 11 PC because mine is old and slow. Have the tech wipe 11 and then load my windows 10 op sys plus my bookmarks, passwords and the like. Currently, I don't have an anti-viral program, because I us the Brave browser. I know these techs so they will force to buy an expensive anti-viral program. But is does update my drivers which I will need as I am older than some of the guys on 4um. I like to watch movies that were made when I was young. LINUX IS A HARD PASS FOR ME. TRIED IT. EPIC FAILURE.)

While Iran could conceivably have a "traditional" nuclear bomb, what they absolutely DO have right now is the capability of delivering a dirty bomb.  They do have nuclear reactors and that means they have nuclear waste.  They also obviously have very capable missile systems so any high schooler could put those together and create a missile that dumps LOTS of nuclear waste all over Israeli cities.  Perhaps that's the surprise that they already have.

They wouldn't want to do that as that would be basically permanent contamination of what they consider to be Palestine.  But they'd want even less the prospect of they themselves getting nuked.  Standard MAD doctrine, or would be if both sites came clean about the nuke weapons they have.

Not to be too preachy or anything, Iran funds every terrorist group out there. There's so many that I can't keep them straight. Hamas, Hezbollah, ad nauseum.
I think it was Hezbollah that brought down the Marine BLT in '83. I was there, not in the BLT of course, Pam was hustled out of the country, post haste.
It's hard to talk about.

If it wasn't for Rita Panahi, a Sky News Australia commentator and Iranian that I'm totally smitten with [born in the US, look it up], I'd be happy with nuking everybody in Iran.
If it wasn't for that weak-ass, pussbag, President Jimmuh Cahtar, Iran wouldn't be a problem today.
Remember the 444-day "Hostage Crisis"?
Ronald Reagan's first official announcement on the day of his inauguration, 20Jan1981 was, "The hostages have left Iranian airspace."

God, I'm fuckin' old. How did that happen? I wish Kim was here, I'm not hurting very bad today for a change.

Only $3.75? I'm a lot older than that. Fuck.

Your sentiments are understandable. You went through a hell.

Question?  Do you think the barracks attack was a personal attack against you?  Were they out to get Jim??  Or any of your friends that were killed that day?

Of course it wasn't.  It was political.  They had no idea who you were.  They pretty much felt the same way about Americans as you feel about Iranians.  Just a general broadbrushed sentiment of hate.  A lot of them lost friends & family too.  We enable Israel.  And Israel kills them without a second thought.  Killing out of a sense of vengeance/justice can be understood.  Killing out of a sense of supremacist beliefs, not so much.  Not for me.

Is Hezbollah really a terrorist org?  As the old saying goes:  One man's terrorists is another man's freedom fighter.  Was Hezbollah behind the barracks bombing?  I think it was, and yes Hezbollah was then and is now supported by Iran.  ISIS is bad too.  They are horrible.  And who supports them?  Israel.  And who's their enemy?  Iran.  It's all complicated, but as far as I can see, it's about nothing to do with Islam.  It's politics and economics.

1983...  43 years ago. But on one under the age of 43 gets a pass?

I'm guilty of it too, but with less excuse than you.  I hate Israel, but without any hellacious barracks bombing experience to have an as excuse for it.  I've only got armchair warrior experience to justify it.  Israelis and their defenders have a distinct twisted mindset that they are God.  Literally.  And any not in their tribe are their servants.  Not equals.  Witnessing a genocide, if only on the net, is just too much for me to take.  AND knowing that they would do the same to any culture, any nation, as they are doing now just seals it for me.  They'd do the exact same to Americans as they are doing to Palestinians.

How bad is Iran, really?  I'm not so sure it is that bad.  The Persian culture is about the oldest on the earth. There are Christian churches and Jewish synagogues there.  People who visit the country report they are a very kind people, much more so than most any western country, including the USA.  Remember one traveler reporting he overpaid for something at a market and the Iranian vendor chased him all through the place to give him his correct change.  Is it a gift from God to all of humanity?  I wouldn't go that far.  Of course not.  There are bad actors everywhere, including Iran.

The hostages of 1979.  Should they have done it?  Of course not.  Did they wake up one morning and arbitrarily decide to hate America that day?  No.  They radied the US embassy.  But not any other country's embassy.  Why?  In part because our CIA planted a shah there in 1953.  Meddled in their internal affairs just like Obama did Ukraine and Trump did Venezuela, and which the CIA has actually been in a bold habit of doing globally, particularly in my neck of the woods.

As you said, not to be preachy.  I hope you can find some peace.  I hope we all can.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) voted with Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) to strip President Trump of his war powers today.

The resolution was narrowly rejected by the House, 214-213.

Massie was confronted about being a traitor and essentially said he’s fine with Iran having nukes because he has TDS.

Siding with Democrats in Congress on anything is siding with the enemy. Many of them are the same traitors to America who welcomed an invasion of millions of illegals under Joe Biden.

To ever vote with them is to say you hate America.

Shame on Massie. He’s a lost cause and needs to be legally replaced in Congress by a real MAGA politician. A lot of current congressional Republicans are in the same boat.

Lots of Muslims have entered Europe and the US because we bomb the hell out of their home countries.  And we do that because of Israel.  Libya is a good example.  Lots of Libyans got on boats and went to Europe, of course many dying en-route, with slave trading returning to Libya itself.  Compliments of Obama, but Libya was, for some reason, on Israel's hit list.

If we don't want at least Muslim illegals, we need to stop bombing Muslim countries.

One can argue Trump's justification for war on Iran, but he did start it, and he did it without any declaration of war by Congress.

Massie wants the Epstein files prosecuted.  Trump doesn't. That's a good about Massie that is hard to downplay.

"One can argue Trump's justification for war on Iran, but he did start it, and he did it without any declaration of war by Congress."

I don't think there's been a congressional declaration of war since Pearl Harbor and FDR in 1941.
I guess that's passé now.

"Massie wants the Epstein files prosecuted.  Trump doesn't."

I'm not sure what to think about that. We know that if Trump was implicated in any wrongdoing, the Biden LGBTQIA+ freakshow would have had him drawn and quartered.
It looks like Pam Bondi was working for DeepState trying to thwart Trump's agenda again, that's why he fired her.
If Trump doesn't want them prosecuted, he's got a good reason for doing so.
One possible reason might be that so many members of congress are involved that it might collapse the government. Maybe there's just not enough prison space. I don't know.

I think Trump has something up his sleeve, second-guessing him is a fool's errand.
There's also the possibility that he's gone insane from clot-shots or he's fed up with being attacked for everything and is saying, "Fuck everybody!"

No, with the Epstein files, party doesn't matter because that scandal spans both parties. Neither side can use it against the other because they'd take themselves down as well.  Think of it as a political cold war with both sides agreeing not to use nukes, allowing only conventional attacks.

I see Bondi as part of the same problem.  She went full Deep State.  One claim I heard was she wasn't prosecuting Trump's rivals to his satisfaction.  Who knows, but Trump has clearly demonstrated over the years that he demands loyalty.  There was something about Bondi that Trump decided wasn't to his liking, obviously.

Yes, it does involve a huge amount of Congress, but also media, celebrities & corporate heads.  It's just so wide and so deep, hitting all the power bases of society that... well, maybe prosecuting is just not feasible for practical reasons.  It requires the system to turn on itself which violates some law of societal physics or something.  Doesn't make it right.  Just illustrates what's wrong with the system.

As for Iran, I doubt that is true, or if it is it's a promise that simply won't be kept.

Allegedly Trump claimed China would not aid Iran any further, and China released a statement saying that was in no way true.

"...I doubt that is true..."

It's impossible to determine the truth anymore. My gauge is, "If it sounds good, it's fake."
Over half the country is clinically insane and delusional. People are just making shit up and calling it the truth.
There's many, many people lying to push an agenda, using photoshop, AI, etc.

"China released a statement saying that was in no way true."

That's what they do.

Word is Iran is in full denial that they in any way agreed to turn over their uranium.

Hell, if they were going to turn it over to anyone, it would be to Russia, not the USA.  Trump's claim just doesn't pass the sniff test.  The retail value of the uranium is enormous, so they would at least sell the stuff instead of giving it away for free.
